12 Weeks of Biblical Courses and Studies for Youth

About MBS

Maranatha Bible School is a short term winter Bible School, offering up to 12 weeks of intense Bible study each year.

What is your level of education in the things of the kingdom of God? Do you have the required spiritual foundation to be a Christian in the days in which we live? Are you deliberate about growing in Christ?

MBS is a place for you to concentrate on spiritual maturity; a place designed to inform your mind and purify your heart. We are here to encourage you to a deeper commitment to God and to assist you to better understand His Word. Pursuing God in honesty, openness, study and hard work will result in a life that radiates His glory.

A. To encourage a wholehearted commitment to the Lordship of our Savior Jesus Christ.

B. To deepen understanding and appreciation for the Word of God.

C. To assist youth in preparing for a lifetime of meaningful and effective Christian service.

D. To develop skill in the application of the Scriptures in a daily walk as preparation for eternity.

E. To provide guidance and direction for solid, meaningful Christian fellowship.

F. To stimulate wholesome attitudes toward the home congregation and its ministerial leadership.

G. To promote and instill an appreciation for our Anabaptist Christian heritage.

A. We believe in one God, eternally existent in three persons—Father, Son, and Holy Spirit.

B. We believe the Bible to be the inspired Word of God, that it is the only rule of faith and conduct, and that its standards are applicable to every generation. We further believe that the revelation of Scripture is full, final, and complete, and thus may have neither addition or deletion.

C. We believe the Genesis record of the creation of all things visible and invisible, man included, who alone is made in the image and likeness of God.

D. We believe the Biblical record concerning the fall of man, his depravity and sinfulness, and his lost estate apart from the beginning work of the Holy Spirit.

E. We believe in Jesus Christ the only begotten of the Father, His virgin birth, His sinless life, His death on the cross, His atoning blood, His bodily resurrection, His ascension, and His soon coming again in power and glory.

F. We believe in the resurrection of all men, both just and unjust; and in the righteous judgment of God, who will receive the righteous unto His eternal kingdom, and consign the wicked to eternal perdition.

G. We believe that man is redeemed only through faith in Christ Jesus and confession of Him as Lord which confession will include repentance from sin and will be followed with the sign of baptism. We further believe that a life of separation from the world and unto God is imperative for the believer lest he fall from grace.

H. We believe the Biblical record concerning Satan, that he is the archenemy of God, and that he is the cunning enemy of our souls, and that he is defeated only as we abide in Christ.

I. We believe in the church, consisting only of those who are truly born again, baptized by the Holy Spirit into one body, serving as the habitation of God and the body of Christ on earth. The church shall, by the commission of Christ and with compassion for lost humanity, spread the Gospel through personal witness, consistent life, and
loving deed in the name of Jesus.

Our statement of faith is more fully explained in the Christian Fundamentals as adopted at Hartville, Ohio, in 1964. A copy of these may be acquired by contacting Maranatha Bible School.
